1969 East Africa Safari Rally

Joining the gruelling 6,200km East Africa Safari Rally for the first time in 1969, the Datsun Bluebird SSS rallycar achieved an astounding 3rd overall position (first in class), piloted by the team of Din and Minhas. Six Bluebird rally cars managed to complete the rally in top thirteen positions, which demonstrated the overwhelming reliability of this model. It would later win the 1970 event as overall champion.
